I am one of those people that reserves the right to change my mind at any time.
I think for this thread I will clarify something else.
I'm not half-assing my M or my role as a husband and father. I'm giving it my full and best effort. I have always gone 100% even if I'm making a mistake, I make it at 100%. Lifelong athlete so it get's drilled into you.
If you at least go full effort, it might work even if you do it wrong. You might look like a fool. But if you go half effort, it won't work, and you'll look dumb.
Love is not a measure of capacity for pain you are willing to endure for your partner.
