Sometimes a WS is so mired in shame
Except according to OP, one of the reasons her wh was so upset that the OBS was told, is because he was worried it would tarnish what he and OW shared.
I don't believe he can feel shame, yet still feel as if what he and OW shared was something wonderful.
Not all ws feel shame. Many feel regret, and they feel sorry for themselves for having been caught, because now they have to deal with the consequences, and/or because being found out either ended the affair or made it more difficult to continue to the affair.
