This game just came up on our community page. Glad it was explained because I was clueless.
Is it alwsys the same numerous if letter word?
If it's always say a 5 letter word, there's so many to chose from it woukd drive me nuts.
Not a game for me.

I Wordle every day! One of my favourite parts of the day actually. My sister and I text each other our scores every day. It’s kind of fun.
Today I did it in 3. I’ve only ever done it in 2 once. I feel like it’s just luck when it’s 2.

I love Wordle though it can be so frustrating!! I have a group chat with 2/3 of my kids and it’s beyond frustrating that my youngest one beats me every time!! At best we tie. I don’t know how she does it. Yesterday I had 5/6 even though I had the last 3 letters on the second guess. So annoyingly I just kept guessing wrong. 🙄🙄🙄

Think Wheel of Fortune. Go for five letter words that have the most commonly used vowels and consonants. Some that I've used: stain, reach, train, adieu (if you want to first hit up most the vowels), moist, tears, fried, moral etc. With words like that, you're almost always able to hit one or two letters on your first try. Then you narrow down your vowels, depending on which have shown up in your first word. DragnHeart - you should get your kids into this. I have a friend who has a nine-year old grandson, who, when he comes over, they do it together.
Everyone takes a few tries to find what works for them, then once you have a strategy, it's more straight-forward. What's really hard (and this doesn't happen that often), is when you get one letter, but it's used multiple times in the word, like puppy. Almost every word I've done has been a very commonly used word. There have been maybe one or two where I thought, "Who uses that word in their every day conversations?"

number4 thanks for the hints. I usually start with train or drain but sometimes throw random words out like my dog's name just for fun. I'm stealing adieu!

We got stuck in nasty traffic leaving the Dodgers spring training stadium parking lot tonight. It took me only 3 today, but at least a half hour to solve it.

Number4. That is an excellent score for such a hard word. I got it in 5

LOL, like I said, I was stuck in traffic and had nothing else to do to pass the time. Otherwise, I would have made some more guesses that I know wouldn't have been right, only to rule out some letters that would or wouldn't work. If I don't get it in 8-10 minutes, then I start throwing words out there that I know are wrong. Time was on my side last night.

4 today but I lucked out getting a couple of key letters in key positions early.
So much is luck, but then just enough skill to make it engaging…

I started playing Wordle right before D-day, and now it's become my little happy place to start my day at a time when I might otherwise start with coffee and woe-is-me. Part of the charm is that it's only one game per day. Yes, there's a Wordle Archive but that's a rabbit hole for me. Once I solved it on the second try but usually it takes four or five. Love it! Today was tricky but I got it in 4.

I can't even remember what the word was yesterday, but H got it in 4 and D in 5, so I felt smug about getting it in 3. Haven't done today's yet, but I'm seeing a lot of higher numbers on FB.

wordle's dictionary is 2300-ish words. They did some filtering to a somewhat basic reading level. I've been playing for the last 80 days. Quordle is the same but you have 9 guesses to figure out 4 words. Nerdle is the same for math.
