NeverTwice's lovely posts and NRE inspired me to suggest to the BF that we go on a date on Saturday. He suggested a big breakfast at home followed by a hike, which sounds PERFECT - except now the forecast says 80% chance of thunderstorms.
Social distancing is much easier outdoors but that's looking dim. Any ideas that would get us outta the house?

Personally, one of my favorite dates of all time involved a hike and and absolute downpour of rain. I say... go for the hike anyway.

The rain wouldn't bother me but I am kinda concerned about lightning

We have a local antique 'mall' with a couple of hundred vendors there. Great place for some walking and maybe shopping a bit. And they require masks and social distancing at all times. And their security guards enforce it!
Have fun on your date guys!!! Let us know what you wind up doing.

I'm literally in a similar situation, although we aren't doing breakfast, instead it's a lunch thing/possibly dinner. I'm still finalizing plans.
I had wanted to walk around the area - there are some local sites to see and that sort of thing - but with rain coming in that might be a no-go.

Any museums or local attractions open?
Here where I live they are, but by appointment so there a lot less people, and you can take your time and get a lot more out of it. At least that's what I have been told by folks that have been.
Personally I haven't gone anywhere but the local produce stand in over 2 weeks.

Well, it looks like we have a few errands to run, including going by the carpet store to look at something to replace the awful carpet on my steps and landing. And then one of our good friends has invited us over for a little porch get together to meet her new girlfriend, which I'm super excited about because she has been telling me all about her for a few months. So she lives near downtown, at the weather ends up being decent we might head over there afterwards and walk around a little bit. We haven't really been anywhere other than the grocery store and Home Improvement stores for months either. I mean, we're both going to work in person at this point, but not much socialization.

I think I know just how she feels! And that is really great for both of them!
But, and I have to admit, I was somewhat startled at just how many lesbian and bisexual women are out there! And, I mean really, what are the odds of me running into a beautiful lesbian lady at my friend's house and finding another wonderful partner to share my life with?
I should by a couple of lottery tickets!!
Good luck and keep us informed!

NeverTwice, I've known her for about 2.5 years and she's always dated men previously. Just never could connect with them, disqualified them for weird, random reasons. She finally admitted to herself that she wanted to date women. Met this girl and they are BOTH trying as hard as they can to pump the brakes, but they have got it BAD for each other. I'm so happy for her.
I'm sure you have heard the joke, "What do lesbians bring to a second date? A U-Haul." So they keep joking about staying away from the U-Hauls, but I've never seen her this happy with a man. I can't wait to meet the woman who has made my friend so happy!

Well, we didn't get to meet the new gf, but the weather ended up being beautiful. We went downtown, walked around some, and found a restaurant with a patio and had a few drinks. Got takeout from our favorite place on the way home. Was lovely.
