I was wondering if anyone else has read this book. If so, how did you apply the lesson to R? I can certainly see how it could apply to S/D.

If you haven't read it, it's a quick read about being open to changes in life.

Oh goodness, I read that in high school and had no memory of that at all until seeing this post! I barely remember much of it now, but I do remember it really giving 17 year old me some pause. I'll have to read this again and see what resonates with me now in this unexpected part of my life.

None of that really answered your question, sorry! I'm glad I saw this, though.

brokenpromises, are you sure you're not thinking of "I Am the Cheese"? That's a fairly common HS literature assignment.

"Who Moved my Cheese?", iirc is sort of a self-help/motivational book that has a lot of application to the business world.

There is also a Who Moved My Cheese for Kids, that I think is very good for children going through a divorce.

It's a quick read. I liked it. Not sure about how it applies to R, but it's got a good lesson / message.

HFSSC no it was definitely Who Moved My Cheese! I had to read it in either Sociology or Psychology.

I started off 100% Scurry.

Through time I've evolved to be more like Hem, then Haw, still working on Sniff.

Years ago and it is a great primer for life. Another way to say it is the 6 Ps of life. Proper planning prevents piss poor preformce. As to how it applys to marriage: always have an exit plan and post divorce life planned. Never allow yourself to experience "oh my god what will I do" moments.

If I could get every BS from day one to know your divorce laws, see an attorney, have a post divorce life planned, then duscuss reconcilation or the whats and whys that would be it.
