Trauma after betrayal

Hi everyone
I completely forgot about this forum after being a frequent user 2021 when I found out my ex-husband was a pathological liar and wotnot. Anyway I didn't post much but just wanted to check in and impress upon people who experience betrayal trauma the importance of seeing a medical professional as soon as possible, and possibly looking at medication, as whilst the discovery of the betrayal is an initial trauma, the physiological response that sits in the body for months or years afterwards over which you may have very little control, absent medication, therapy or other strategies, can become a secondary form of trauma.
So please see someone even if you don't want to tell anyone what's happened, or make any decisions to leave or stay. It is really important for your health.
