Retrieving text messages online (Verizon)

This is for jjsr (and anyone else who needs the information):

If he's the account owner and you know his password, once you've logged in to the Verizon account, go to My Plans and Services, then Send A Message. If you are the account owner, you'll need to know his account password, though, and if he hasn't accepted the Terms and Conditions, I'm not sure if it sends a notification to him anywhere.

Deleted text recovery on Note4?

WH has a Verizon Note4, which is apparently not rootable, making deleted text recovery impossible.

I've read about forensic recovery. How much is this, and how does one go about it?

The texts he'd be trying to recover are from December 2014 through mid-February 2015. So...yeah, a while ago.

I did find a link to a software program called Coolmuster, which seemed promising, but ...you need to root your phone first.

Rooting a Galaxy Note 4 (Verizon)

WH has offered to root his phone so we can run the Dr Fone software to retrieve deleted texts, but we can't seem to find a way to do it. He found one site that allegedly gave directions but according to Dr Fone, it didn't work and it still needs to be rooted before it can do what it needs to do.

Apparently, it's especially difficult to root Verizon phones.

Does anyone here know a workaround or have any suggestions?

Advice on rooting an Android phone?

I want to try to recover texts from my WH's Galaxy Note 5 (I think it's a 5 - it was new late last year). I tried using Dr Fone for android, but I get a message saying that we will need to root the phone first.

WH is willing to let me do that. Can anyone recommend the best way to root his phone safely? Also, does rooting a phone risk losing data (like pictures)?

Thanks!

Is BeenVerified a trustworthy site?

I'm tempted to purchase a one-month subscription to see what it says on H's two APs, but also what it says about each of us.

Is it safe to use? Is it easy to cancel without getting ripped off?
