Decadent dreams-no altruism allowed
If money, time, circumstances were no object, what gift would you give yourself?
I would fly to Australia for an unlimited tour of the continent. My flight would be first class with a sleeper seat. And ultimately, if I loved it there, I'd purchase a home in the tropics on the beach and stay forever.

New baby-grandson #2
2nd DGS was born yesterday weighing 6 lbs 14 oz and 19.25 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great--he's been nursing for 12 hours!

DS is working in a city 1.5 hours away, and DDIL & DGS are accompanying him next week. I'll be heading out Wednesday and Thursday to stay with them and celebrate DS's 30th bday ( geez, I'm old!)

My Rip VanWinkle moment
I was tired enough to sleep through 3 alarms and woke up with a start at 9:30am. I jumped out of bed, got dressed, and ran out to go to WeightWatchers. When I turned on the car, Christmas music was playing on my regular radio station. My first thought was, "How long did I sleep??" I had to check the date on my phone...

Thanks to SI member drowninginsorrow for starting this thread and mom of 2 for continuing it! Now, it's my turn. Please read the following:
Many thanks to Deeply Scared for reminding us all we need to exercise caution and good judgment when sending private messages to people on this list. I'll repeat what she has said:
DO NOT EXCHANGE PERSONAL INFO WITH ANYONE (info such as email address, home address, phone number, etc.). SEND PRIVATE MESSAGES ONLY. KEEP YOUR REQUESTS GENERAL AND ANONYMOUS.
Having said that, I sense tremendous camaraderie among this group. We've all shared an aspect of infidelity and we know the pain it causes. If someone asked me to private message them the license plate numbers off the cars at such and such an address, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Everyone on this list would. We unfortunately share a common bond and we all have a strong desire to lend a helping hand to those on the road to recovery. But again -
DO NOT REVEAL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE. USE PRIVATE MESSAGES ONLY. KEEP YOUR REQUESTS GENERAL AND ANONYMOUS.
To send a private message to a volunteer snooper, go to your profile (hit the [My Profile] link at the top of most pages). Then use the Search Profiles feature to find your snooper by name. Then send that snooper a private message.
So now you know how to send a PM to a particular person on this list. But what do you say? Send a "greeting" message first and wait for a response. Your first private message should say something like "Hi - I saw your name on the snooping list and I'd like your help. Please write me back if you are available to help."
One of three things will happen next:
1) The person won't read the message because they don't come here anymore
2) The person will read it but will not help because they may be too busy.
3) The person will read it and write you back with an enthusiastic "Yes - I'd love to help."
If you get a "YES" response then you must think carefully about what you want to share with this person. Keep in mind you are talking to a stranger. It's best to keep things in general terms and leave out specific information as much as possible.
For example, ask someone to drive by such and such an address at such and such a time and write down the license plate numbers of all the cars nearby. Do not explain why this address is of interest to you and do not explain whose car you expect to find or not find there.
Another example - please call this phone number and ask for <name> or simply hang up after someone answers and write me back to tell me was it a man or a woman's voice.
