Online wedding regresties/Maybe be helpful

So I legitimately purchased a wedding gift from an on line registry site. The shipping address was confusing bc the site stated "it will be shipped to Jane and John's address", without giving the actual address.

After I placed the order, I called the store's customer service bc I wasn't sure if the couple's current address was the same as the address they listed on the registry. (They have moved a few times.)

Long story short, customer service could not give me the address the couple provided, but they could verify if the address I had, matched the address on file. It did.

My point is, if anyone here knows the OP and WS are getting married, and have an online registry, you could probably call the store they are registered with, and verify if they are living at the address you suspect they are.

Hope this makes sense!

Is it standard for a PI to charge this?

Disclaimer: Asking for a relative, not myself.

Cousin hired PI to follow someone. The PI charges an hourly and mileage rate. That's standard, no problem.

But now the PI is charging her for the commute his investigator has to make from the investigator's HOME to the address where surveillance starts! He is charging time and mileage for this commute. PI claims this is normal.

Wouldn't you think the billing starts once the investigator ARRIVES at the suspect's location and the mileage and hourly rate starts from there?

Is this standard operating procedure?

Freedom of Information Act

I stumbled across this doing a non-infidelity related search.

Go to the state's government's website of the person you are searching. Within the gov site do a search for "Freedom of Information". In my case a form comes up, you give the subject's info and submit. You don't have to give a reason why you are requesting the info.

Any public information about the person will be returned to you.
