For me, this is the key:

It is not possible if your spouse is not remorseful.

Yes, BSs are responsible for their own healing. Yes, it is necessary to process and let go (I agree it's not rug sweeping). However, this can't even begin to happen until WSs show remorsefulness. At least that's how I feel about it, that's what a happy reconciliation looks to me. Thank you for showing it is possible!
