I am not sure that someone becomes selfish but rather they always have been selfish.

That may be so.

To have the ability to mentally-manipulate yourself into believing that your decisions and their consequences are never your fault nor your responsibility.

Depending on how some look at it, that ability could be considered a gift or a curse.

In the end, it’s always someone else who suffers most of the consequences - especially the kids.

It has nothing to do with you.

Filed for and proceeded with divorce.
