This is mostly off-topic... if the mods think that it should be moved elsewhere, please do.

I have two rings that I would like to sell. One is gold and then other is platinum.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this? I honestly have no clue...

Do you know of any local jewelers who do custom work? They may know who the more reputable brokerages are located for the best value for your rings.

Second the rec for a local jeweler. They will look up the price of gold/platinum that day and should pay you based on the weight of the pieces.

Chances are you will only get the value of the weight unless it’s a known-brand ring.

If it’s only to get rid of some sad mementos then consider donating them to charity at a higher value and use the tax benefit.

I sold mine for the scrap value. Got a lot more than I expected. Used the money for gas and groceries. grin

Wh's ring was a family heirloom. Breaks my heart...
I imagine I will sell it on marketplace with full disclosure. It's beautiful and hardly worn which tells you a lot about wh versus my behavior.

My ring was worn almost through and so was my housemates.

I sold mine for scrap and $$ for necessities during the divorce.

I am not sure what my housemate did with their's but maybe once I am divorced I should consider marrying my housemate 😂😂
